The teaser for ‘The Kerala Story 2’, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, has ignited a firestorm of reactions across India. Released recently, it poignantly depicts the harrowing tale of Hindu girls ensnared in love traps leading to forced conversions. While opposition has swiftly emerged, a powerful wave of support from the nation’s saint community has drowned it out.

In Ayodhya, Jagatguru Parmhans Acharya minced no words in his conversation with reporters. ‘Love jihad is at its peak,’ he declared. ‘Not a single Hindu girl is safe. From the moment she’s born, she’s a target for jihadists. Look at Delhi – three men from a particular community raped a 6-year-old girl. Those opposing this film want to destroy the nation. They harbor filthy mindsets towards women. The government must enact stringent laws against love jihad now.’

Sitaram Das Maharaj echoed this sentiment, questioning the critics directly. ‘This film reveals the stark reality. What’s the crime in showing the truth? Our daughters aspire to be doctors, engineers, judges – yet they’re ruined by these love traps. Opponents are terrorists, traitors unfit to live in this country.’

From Nashik, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri added weight to the chorus. ‘The first film exposed the brutal truth of what jihadists do to Hindu sisters and daughters. They’ve spread various jihads for years. Sanatanis must protect themselves from these jihadists – they can never be ours. Watch The Kerala Story 2; it’s made to unmask them.’

Swami Narayan Das from Rishikesh’s Shri Bharat Milap Ashram praised the film’s courage in highlighting forced conversions. ‘Forcing religion change is the gravest sin. This film shows how jihadists prey on our girls. Supporting such mentality is equally sinful.’

As protests brew, the saints’ endorsement underscores a deepening national conversation on love jihad and women’s safety. With the full film on the horizon, expect this debate to intensify, forcing authorities to confront uncomfortable realities head-on.
