RSS Chief Bhagwat: Hindu Identity Vital, Economic Strength Crucial

The enduring essence of Hindu civilization and the necessity of economic self-reliance were the central themes of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent discourse in Manipur. Bhagwat asserted that the global future hinges on Hindu society, stating, “Without Hindus, the world will cease to exist,” and highlighting Hindu civilization’s unique immortality. He pointed to historical examples, noting that while civilizations like Greece, Egypt, and Rome faded, India has persevered. Bhagwat positioned Hindu society as the global protector of dharma, attributing this sustained presence to a robust social fabric. This marked his first visit to Manipur post-ethnic clashes, where he also reaffirmed his inclusive view, stating no Indian is a non-Hindu and all share ancestral origins. Shifting focus to national development, Bhagwat strongly advocated for economic independence. He emphasized that robust economic capacity is paramount for national strength, essential alongside military and knowledge-based power. “We should not be dependent on anyone,” he insisted, reinforcing the importance of self-sufficient economic policies. Bhagwat also invoked historical narratives of societal resilience, citing the successful suppression of Naxalism and the long fight for independence as testaments to the power of collective resolve and the refusal to let dissenting voices be silenced.
