Patna is buzzing with anticipation as the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) gears up for a major crackdown on party rebels. Senior MP Sudhakar Singh revealed that a comprehensive report on leaders who went against the party’s interests has been submitted to national president Lalu Prasad Yadav. Decisions are expected within days, promising swift accountability.
In an exclusive interview, Singh detailed how several members turned rebels during the recent elections, actively working against RJD candidates. ‘We conducted a thorough review,’ he stated firmly. ‘The report, prepared after extensive scrutiny, has reached the top leadership. Whatever action is deemed necessary will be announced in one or two days.’
Singh didn’t hold back on criticizing the election process either. Echoing Tejashwi Yadav’s viral remark, ‘The people lost, the system won,’ he accused authorities of foul play. ‘Voter lists were tampered with under the guise of corrections, deleting lakhs of names. During polling, cash was transferred directly to accounts by the state government. Such manipulations undermine democracy,’ he charged.
He demanded a thorough probe into the ‘system’s role’ to prevent future irregularities. Singh also commented on Naseemuddin Siddiqui’s resignation from Congress, noting it’s common for leaders switching parties to need time adjusting, but ultimate decisions rest with party high command.
As Bihar’s political landscape heats up, RJD’s move signals a no-tolerance stance on indiscipline. Observers say this could reshape alliances ahead of future polls, reinforcing party unity against perceived electoral injustices.
