In a sharp rebuttal to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s call for revoking Rahul Gandhi’s membership, Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Ramgopal Yadav fired back on Thursday. Speaking in New Delhi, Yadav asserted that if Dubey dares to bring any such proposal against the Congress leader, his own membership should be terminated first.
‘Dubey speaks the most offensive words imaginable,’ Yadav remarked, underscoring the MP’s provocative rhetoric. The exchange highlights escalating tensions between opposition leaders and the ruling BJP ahead of key parliamentary sessions.
Yadav didn’t stop there. He addressed Rahul Gandhi’s recent surrender in a defamation case and broader farmer concerns. ‘Every farmer knows that zero-tariff imports of grains from abroad will ruin domestic produce markets,’ he warned. He further alleged that cattle feed is also being imported, pointing to a deliberate strategy to undermine Indian agriculture.
Drawing a stark picture, Yadav highlighted global practices: ‘The world knows animals in America are fed non-vegetarian diets. If cows eat non-veg, their milk becomes impure too. Such milk can’t be offered in temples or used in sacred rituals.’ This, he claimed, is part of a larger plot to erode India’s cultural and religious fabric.
Accusing certain elements of posing as religious guardians while promoting irreligious acts, Yadav vowed that the Samajwadi Party would fiercely oppose these moves. He predicted widespread farmer protests in the coming days.
On a related note, Yadav targeted the BJP over SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations regarding Form-7 manipulations. ‘BJP workers pre-announce which booth’s voters will be struck off the lists,’ he charged, echoing claims of systematic voter suppression ahead of elections.
