In a scathing critique that echoes across political circles, Kalki Dham’s Peethadheeshwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam has declared Rahul Gandhi not just a liability for the Congress party but a growing menace to the nation itself. Speaking exclusively to IANS in Sambhal on February 19, the spiritual leader likened Gandhi’s actions to those of separatists and anarchists, raising alarms about his influence.

Acharya Krishnam didn’t mince words. ‘Rahul Gandhi suffers from an incurable malaise,’ he stated firmly. ‘What began as a danger confined to Congress has now spilled over, threatening the country’s stability.’ He drew parallels between Gandhi’s conduct and the disruptive tactics employed by separatist groups in Kashmir and anarchic elements elsewhere, questioning the motives behind such behavior.

This comes hot on the heels of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju’s sharp rebuke in the Lok Sabha, where he condemned Gandhi’s disruptive antics, recalling his own restraint as an opposition leader. Rijiju highlighted how such chaos derails parliamentary proceedings, preventing discussions on vital developmental issues. He even compared Gandhi’s parliamentary stunts to the methods of Maoists and extremists.

Acharya Krishnam endorsed Rijiju’s views wholeheartedly, amplifying the criticism. Meanwhile, he took a jab at the INDIA alliance, suggesting Rahul Gandhi fits right in amid its leadership uncertainties. ‘Akhilesh Yadav is capable, but even he seems uneasy with traditional institutions,’ Krishnam noted, adding that figures like Mamata Banerjee, despite serious allegations, could stake claims too.

The barrage of attacks continues. Earlier, Union Minister Giriraj Singh slammed Gandhi’s recent remarks on farmers as misleading propaganda, akin to the debunked Rafale claims. Singh went further, branding him an ‘urban Naxal’ whose statements align more with Pakistan’s adversaries than India’s interests, even calling for his imprisonment.

As political tempers flare, these voices from the ruling side paint a picture of a leader whose actions, they argue, undermine not just his party but the nation’s democratic fabric. With elections looming, the rhetoric underscores deepening divides in Indian politics.
