Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reiterated his government’s commitment to eradicate the drug menace. He stated that those responsible for spreading drugs in the state will not be spared. Mann announced that the ‘drug Jarnails’, who were previously considered untouchable, are now imprisoned. Addressing the public after dedicating new Tehsil complexes, he highlighted that the drug trade was once flourishing under the patronage of those who held positions of power, even using official resources for their illicit activities.

He called for public support in the fight against drugs, emphasizing the positive response to the Yudh Nasheyan Virudh campaign. In addition, Mann discussed the introduction of the Punjab Prevention of Crime Against Religious Scriptures Bill, 2025, showing the government’s commitment to safeguarding religious sentiments. He also highlighted the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, a state-wide health initiative providing comprehensive healthcare coverage. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of creating employment opportunities for the youth and the government’s dedication to transparency, especially in job recruitment. Mann concluded by reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
