Following extensive rainfall, numerous areas across North India are experiencing severe flooding. In Punjab, the situation has become critical, with approximately 1300 villages underwater. In response to this crisis, all IPS officers in the state are contributing one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The DGP of Punjab Police announced the decision on social media, highlighting the solidarity of the officers with the flood-affected residents. Beyond law enforcement, the police aim to stand with their fellow citizens and offer comprehensive support to alleviate the hardships faced by the affected population. The authorities are dedicated to providing as much assistance as possible, and the goal is to work together to overcome the challenge and rebuild the lives of the affected.
