Puducherry buzzed with excitement on Sunday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a high-profile visit to the union territory. The centerpiece of the trip was the inauguration and foundation laying of development projects worth Rs 2,700 crore, marking one of the largest infrastructure boosts the region has seen in recent years.

Crowds gathered in large numbers, their faces lit up with optimism. Local residents expressed profound gratitude for the prime minister’s focus on elevating living standards through robust urban and rural infrastructure. ‘This visit has ignited a wave of enthusiasm,’ said one enthusiastic supporter from Karaikal. ‘The NIT inauguration and these massive projects signal a bright future. Come assembly elections, Puducherry will stand firmly with development and the NDA alliance.’

Farmers’ welfare took center stage in many conversations. Another resident highlighted, ‘PM Modi announced key initiatives today, building on the Rs 1.62 lakh crore allocated for farmers in the recent budget. He’s proving to be their true guardian.’

The atmosphere was electric, with speakers praising Modi’s visionary leadership. ‘It’s a blessing to have him here,’ remarked a participant. ‘His clarity on India’s future inspires us all. In just five years, he’s achieved what Congress and DMK couldn’t in decades.’

Religious leader Mannargudi Ramarajer Jiyar echoed the sentiment, blessing Modi’s efforts for Hindu interests and national welfare. Music director Gangaey Amaran lauded the announcements spanning spirituality to tourism, crediting the BJP’s double-engine government for transformative change.

Addressing a massive rally, PM Modi reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to Puducherry’s progress. Supporters view this tour as a game-changer ahead of polls, solidifying development as the key agenda.
