India is also developing a next-generation destroyer warship, designated as Project 18. This vessel is planned to be equipped with 144 missiles, including supersonic BrahMos and hypersonic BrahMos-2 missiles. Furthermore, its radar system will be capable of identifying and targeting enemy targets up to 500 kilometers away. According to defense sources, Project 18 will be India’s most advanced and heavily armed destroyer warship, designed by the Warship Design Bureau (WDB). The design phase began in 2023, with construction expected to be completed between 2030 and 2035.
