In response to the devastating floods and landslides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a visit to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The purpose of the trip is to assess the situation and provide support to the affected areas. Reports indicate significant loss of life and damage to property in these regions due to adverse weather. Himachal Pradesh has suffered from multiple landslides and cloudbursts, heavily impacting daily life and infrastructure. Punjab is experiencing extensive flooding as a consequence of intense monsoon rains. Before departing, PM Modi took part in the 15th Vice Presidential election, exercising his right to vote along with other government officials.
