New Delhi buzzed with celebrations as Himachal Pradesh marked its Statehood Day on Sunday with immense pride and fervor. Leading the tributes, President Droupadi Murmu extended her heartfelt congratulations to the people of the state, wishing them a golden future filled with prosperity.

In an official post on X from Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu said, ‘On the occasion of Himachal Pradesh’s Full Statehood Day, I extend my heartiest greetings to all the residents of the state. Known as Devbhoomi for its spiritual traditions and Veerbhoomi for its legacy of valor, the land of Himachal is blessed with nature’s boundless gifts, creating an unparalleled attraction. I am confident that the hardworking people of Himachal Pradesh will continue to play a vital role in nation-building and the nation’s security. I wish a bright future for all the people of the state.’

The President’s message highlighted Himachal’s unique identity, rooted in its divine landscapes and heroic history, underscoring the state’s contributions to India’s progress.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X to convey his wishes. ‘Heartiest greetings to all my family members of Himachal Pradesh, the confluence of nature and culture, on Full Statehood Day. With their exceptional talent and valor, they have always served Mother India. I pray for their bright future and the prosperity of this Devbhoomi.’

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla joined the chorus, posting, ‘Heartiest greetings and best wishes to all residents of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh on its Statehood Day. Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, this state is renowned worldwide for its rich natural beauty, serene environment, cultural diversity, hospitable people, and glorious religious traditions. May Devbhoomi continue on the path of continuous progress, prosperity, and balanced development, and may the people of the state strengthen Himachal’s glorious identity with happiness, health, and well-being.’

BJP National President JP Nadda, referring to himself as Nitin Nabin in the post, added, ‘Heartiest greetings to all Himachalis on the Statehood Day of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh, enriched with unparalleled natural beauty and glorious cultural heritage.
