The upcoming India-Pakistan match has become a point of contention, with Congress leaders and other opposition figures publicly opposing it. National Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, along with other prominent figures like Imran Masood and Ajay Rai, have voiced their disapproval. Masood stated that these kinds of events are a means of business and profit for those involved. He further emphasized that the government earns significant money from broadcasting the match. He also questioned the government’s priorities by highlighting the recent loss of lives, pointing out that the match should not be taking place so soon after the Pahalgam attack. Ajay Rai, from the Uttar Pradesh Congress, urged the Supreme Court to consider the public sentiment and halt the match.
