A political dispute has emerged following statements made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi regarding the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Union Minister Chirag Paswan reacted to these statements, claiming that Gandhi’s remarks indicate an acceptance of defeat. Paswan suggested that Gandhi should focus on internal issues within the Congress party instead of criticizing external institutions. He cited Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission and concerns about EVMs as evidence of pre-emptive defeat. Simultaneously, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav voiced his support for Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission, accusing the BJP of undermining constitutional institutions. Yadav stated that the BJP IT cell is privy to election schedules before their official release. This controversy was triggered by Rahul Gandhi’s comments on X, criticizing the Election Commission’s handling of allegations regarding the Maharashtra polls. The Election Commission has previously dismissed these allegations as unfounded, emphasizing the importance of respecting the legal framework and the work of election officials.
