New Delhi is buzzing with anticipation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a landmark two-day state visit to Israel, a trip hailed by BJP leaders as a pivotal moment in bilateral ties. BJP spokesperson Shahnavaz Hussain emphasized the tour’s significance, telling reporters that it will project a powerful message of friendship to the world.
Hussain highlighted the warm relations fostered since Modi took office. ‘This visit is immensely important. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India-Israel bonds have deepened remarkably, and this trip will resonate globally,’ he stated. The enthusiasm stems from the strategic partnerships in defense, technology, and innovation that have flourished in recent years.
BJP MP Naresh Bansal echoed these sentiments, noting how Modi’s frequent international engagements and reciprocal visits from world leaders have fortified diplomatic channels. ‘These interactions consistently strengthen our bilateral relations,’ Bansal affirmed.
Ahead of departure, the Prime Minister’s Office released a statement where Modi expressed excitement about the invitation from his ‘friend’ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He underscored the robust strategic partnership witnessing explosive growth. During the visit, Modi will meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog and become the first Indian PM to address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament—a historic gesture honoring shared democratic values.
Modi also eagerly anticipates engaging with the Indian diaspora in Israel, who have long championed this unique friendship. ‘I am confident this visit will further solidify our ties, set new strategic goals, and advance our shared vision for a strong, innovative, and prosperous future,’ he added.
Marking the first such visit in nearly nine years, Modi’s itinerary is packed with high-level meetings and events. This journey not only reinforces long-standing collaborations but also opens doors for future advancements in key sectors, signaling India’s rising global stature.
