    During a visit to Durgapur, West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi oversaw the launch and groundbreaking ceremonies of multiple infrastructure projects related to Oil and Gas, Power, Road, and Rail. At a public gathering, the Prime Minister directly criticized the TMC government. He said that the TMC was demanding money from businessmen and threatening them, thereby creating obstacles for investment in the state. He termed this practice as ‘Gunda Tax’.
