In a significant outreach effort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a direct dialogue with BJP councillors from Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation at his residence on Thursday. This meeting underscores the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strategy to bolster its grassroots presence in Kerala, a state long dominated by regional alliances.

The councillors, fresh from their electoral victories, engaged with the Prime Minister on critical local issues. PM Modi emphasized the importance of deepening the party’s connection with the masses, advancing good governance, and enhancing living standards across Kerala. He highlighted how the people of Kerala are increasingly disillusioned with the ruling LDF and opposition UDF, turning their hopes towards BJP-NDA.

Posting on X, PM Modi shared glimpses of the meeting at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, attended by BJP panchayat members, municipal councillors, and corporation members from various Kerala regions. He praised the tireless efforts of party workers who have strengthened BJP’s foundation over the years, crediting their selfless dedication for recent successes.

The Prime Minister expressed optimism about BJP’s expanding footprint in Kerala, urging elected representatives to address grassroots problems effectively. Earlier, Delhi BJP chief Virender Sachdeva and MCD Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh welcomed the visiting councillors.

Thiruvananthapuram Mayor VV Rajesh described the victory as the culmination of 45 years of struggle against communism. He predicted that this local success would pave the way for triumphs in upcoming assembly elections, signaling a shift in Kerala’s political landscape.
