Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kick off a landmark nationwide HPV vaccination campaign in Ajmer, Rajasthan, emphasizing his government’s unwavering commitment to the health and prosperity of the nation’s daughters. Speaking ahead of his visit, PM Modi declared on X that no effort is being spared to ensure girls across India are healthy and thriving.
The initiative, launching around 11:30 AM, targets 14-year-old girls to prevent cervical cancer, a leading cause of mortality among women. This move marks a pivotal step in preventive healthcare, aiming to safeguard millions of lives through early intervention.
PM Modi’s Rajasthan itinerary is packed with development milestones. He will inaugurate, lay foundation stones for, and dedicate projects worth over Rs 16,680 crore spanning urban development, drinking water supply, roads, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure. A public rally will follow, where he will hand over appointment letters to over 21,800 newly recruited youth, boosting employment and empowering the younger generation.
Key highlights include the 4-lane greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur, segments of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, and the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway. Elevated roads in Jodhpur and state highways in Baran district will also see progress, enhancing connectivity.
Water security takes center stage with foundation stones for the Nonera and Parwan Akavad major drinking water projects, ensuring clean water for countless households.
