New Delhi: On the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Indian diaspora as a vital bridge connecting India with the global community. Speaking at a grand event, PM Modi emphasized the diaspora’s role in strengthening India’s position on the world stage.
The Prime Minister recounted how millions of Indians living abroad have not only achieved remarkable success but also carried India’s cultural heritage to every corner of the world. ‘You are our pride, our ambassadors without portfolio,’ he said, drawing thunderous applause from the audience.
Highlighting the contributions of the diaspora in areas like business, technology, healthcare, and education, PM Modi noted that their remittances have become a lifeline for India’s economy. ‘Your hard work and dedication are fueling India’s growth story,’ he added.
PM Modi also announced several new initiatives aimed at further empowering the overseas Indians, including simplified visa processes, enhanced consular services, and digital platforms for better connectivity. ‘India is opening its arms wider to embrace its global family,’ he declared.
The event saw participation from prominent Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) from over 50 countries. Cultural performances showcasing India’s diversity added vibrancy to the celebrations.
As India marks this significant day, PM Modi’s message resonated strongly: the Indian diaspora isn’t just a community abroad; it’s the pulsating heartbeat of a rising global power.
