    Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Manipur on September 13 was a significant event, being his first since the 2023 violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities. In Churachandpur, Modi was welcomed warmly with cultural gifts. Following the inauguration of the Bairabi-Sairang New Rail line in Mizoram, he initiated several new express trains, expanding transportation options. The visit also featured the laying of foundation stones for multiple development projects in Churachandpur worth over Rs 7,300 crore. These projects included improvements to urban infrastructure and the development of information technology. During his address, the Prime Minister recognized the challenges the state has faced, but he also conveyed a message of hope, especially after meeting with individuals impacted by the violence. He highlighted the resilience and spirit of the people of Manipur, emphasizing his vision for a brighter future.
