New Delhi marked a poignant moment on February 26 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the legendary freedom fighter Veer Savarkar on his death anniversary. In a heartfelt message on social media platform X, PM Modi highlighted Savarkar’s unwavering dedication to freeing India from colonial shackles.

‘Mother India’s tireless son, Veer Savarkar, teaches us to stand firm on our resolve even in adverse circumstances,’ PM Modi posted. He praised Savarkar’s courage, restraint, and devotion to the motherland, noting that these qualities will forever guide the nation.

The Prime Minister bowed in respect, calling Savarkar a great revolutionary whose life was a testament to selfless service. Savarkar’s personality and deeds continue to inspire generations toward national service, Modi emphasized.

Joining the chorus, BJP chief JP Nadda remembered Savarkar as ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who dedicated every moment to the motherland. British atrocities failed to shake his commitment, Nadda said, lauding his role in igniting nationalism and his vision for Hindu culture and an undivided India.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh hailed Savarkar’s indomitable courage and sacrifice as a glorious chapter in India’s freedom struggle. Haryana CM Nayab Saini and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai also offered tributes, underscoring Savarkar’s eternal inspiration for patriotism and service.

Savarkar’s legacy endures as a beacon of resilience, reminding Indians of the sacrifices that paved the way for independence. Leaders across the spectrum united in reverence, reinforcing his place in the pantheon of national heroes.
