To Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, the Prime Minister extended warm greetings, praising the state’s breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural tapestry woven by the Khasi, Garo, and Jaintia communities. He highlighted the people’s deep reverence for nature and their pioneering efforts in women’s empowerment, which continue to inspire the nation.
Recalling his 2016 visit to Shillong for the North Eastern Council meeting, Modi also paid tribute to the late P.A. Sangma on his 10th death anniversary, acknowledging his visionary leadership that propelled Meghalaya’s growth.
Turning to Tripura, Modi congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, lauding the state’s vibrant culture and dynamic populace. He reminisced about his 2025 visit during Navratri, where he offered prayers at the revered Tripura Sundari Temple and reviewed its development projects.
