On the auspicious occasion of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the people of the state. In a special message, PM Modi highlighted how Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a shining example of ‘development with heritage.’
CM Yogi Adityanath promptly shared the Prime Minister’s warm words on social media platform X, expressing profound gratitude. ‘Heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for his inspiring greetings on Uttar Pradesh Day,’ he posted.
In his detailed letter addressed to CM Yogi, PM Modi noted the significance of January 24 as UP Foundation Day. As the MP from Varanasi, he shared a personal connection, calling the affection from UP residents his greatest asset. ‘The soil of Uttar Pradesh is unique; it has always propelled the nation’s progress through its talent and strength,’ he wrote.
PM Modi reminisced about the state’s rich spiritual legacy, from Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya and Lord Krishna’s in Mathura-Vrindavan to Buddha’s enlightenment in Sarnath, ancient Kashi, and holy Prayagraj. Recent milestones like the Ram Temple pran pratishtha, Kashi Vishwanath Dham reconstruction, Mahakumbh, and ongoing Magh Mela underscore UP’s cultural prowess, boosting tourism potential.
He also paid tribute to UP’s freedom struggle heroes—Rani Lakshmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Mangal Pandey, Ram Prasad Bismil, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Ashfaqulla Khan—from Jhansi to Kakori. Medieval warriors like Raja Suheldev and Raja Bijli Pasi exemplified the state’s valor.
Turning to contemporary achievements, PM Modi lauded UP’s sprint towards a trillion-dollar economy. Gone are the days of stalled projects breeding distrust; now, under BJP governance, old initiatives are completing alongside new ones, aided by central ‘Pragati’ meetings.
Infrastructure leaps include Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, and Delhi-Meerut Expressways, with Ganga Expressway next. UP is racing to become the state with 21 airports, featuring international hubs in Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and soon Noida’s Jewar Airport.
Praising UP’s role in Atmanirbhar Bharat and its robust law and order, PM Modi emphasized the state’s demographic might. ‘With collective resolve, UP’s growth will accelerate India’s,’ he said, urging everyone to make UP number one in development metrics, manufacturing, green energy, and self-reliance.
Concluding with renewed wishes, PM Modi affirmed that a developed UP will fuel a developed India.
