New Delhi witnessed a wave of national pride as Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of its Statehood Day. In a special post on X, the Prime Minister celebrated the ‘Devbhoomi’ – the land of gods – hailing its residents for their unwavering service to Mother India through remarkable talent and valor.

‘My warm wishes to all family members of Himachal Pradesh, the confluence of nature and culture, on the Full Statehood Day. With their extraordinary talent and prowess, they have always served Maa Bharati. I wish for their bright future and the prosperity of this divine land,’ PM Modi posted.

The message resonated deeply, underscoring Himachal’s unique blend of stunning landscapes, rich heritage, and spiritual significance. This annual commemoration marks the day the hill state achieved full statehood in 1971, transforming from a union territory into a vibrant entity within India’s federal structure.

Joining the PM, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praised the state’s breathtaking natural beauty, serene ambiance, cultural diversity, hospitality, and revered religious traditions. ‘May Devbhoomi continue advancing on the path of progress, prosperity, and balanced development, with its people strengthening Himachal’s glorious identity amid happiness and health,’ Birla wrote.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah echoed similar sentiments, invoking blessings for the state’s ongoing journey toward development and affluence, enriched by its natural splendor, spiritual ethos, and cultural pride.

BJP chief JP Nadda highlighted Himachal’s legacy of bravery, ancient civilization, and ethereal beauty, wishing continued advancement. Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reflected on the 56th statehood day as a symbol of the state’s glorious journey, struggles, and unity, pledging to build a self-reliant, prosperous, and green Himachal with public support.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also conveyed congratulations, lauding the state’s natural wonders, cultural legacy, and heroic sons, praying for its all-round progress and well-being. These greetings not only boost morale but also spotlight Himachal’s pivotal role in India’s growth story, from tourism to strategic importance in the Himalayas.
