In a bold political statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proclaimed that Tamil Nadu stands firmly with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Addressing the state’s simmering political landscape from Maduranthakam on Friday, PM Modi used social media platform X to rally supporters ahead of a massive rally.
‘Tamil Nadu is with NDA. I will join NDA leaders at the rally in Maduranthakam today. The people of Tamil Nadu have decided it’s time to bid farewell to the corrupt DMK government. The NDA’s governance record and commitment to regional aspirations are winning hearts,’ Modi posted.
The announcement has electrified the atmosphere for the high-stakes public meeting on the Chennai-Tindivanam highway. This event marks the formal launch of NDA’s campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, with political activities intensifying across the state as polls draw nearer.
BJP state president and leader of the legislative party, Nainar Nagendran, confirmed that PM Modi will address a high-profile public rally in the afternoon, signaling the start of NDA’s electoral battle. Earlier this week, Nagendran told reporters that the Prime Minister would kick off the NDA campaign in Maduranthakam on January 23, aiming to oust the ‘anti-people’ DMK government currently in power.
As the first major public meeting before the elections, the rally is expected to draw massive crowds and volunteers from across Tamil Nadu. Key NDA allies, including AIADMK, BJP, PMK, TMC, and AMMK, will have their leaders present, showcasing unity against the ruling dispensation.
This gathering is poised not only to energize party workers but also to ignite a statewide election campaign wave, setting the tone for a fiercely contested battle. With Modi’s star power and NDA’s aggressive pitch on governance and development, Tamil Nadu’s political chessboard is shifting dramatically.
