Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a commemorative coin during his visit to Tamil Nadu to celebrate the birth anniversary of Chola emperor Rajendra Chola I. This event was in response to a request by R. Komagan, Chairman of the Gangaikondacholapuram Development Council Trust. A roadshow was also held by Modi in Tiruchirappalli.
