Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Croatia on Wednesday, concluding his travels in Canada and beginning the final leg of his three-nation visit. This marks a significant step in strengthening ties between India and Croatia.

In Zagreb, PM Modi was warmly received with a ceremonial welcome, signifying the importance of this inaugural visit by an Indian Prime Minister. This trip is expected to unlock new opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

The Prime Minister’s agenda in Croatia includes bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and a meeting with President Zoran Milanovic.

The visit also reinforces India’s strategy of deepening its relationships with the European Union member states.

PM Modi acknowledged his Canada visit as “productive,” noting the G7 Summit was characterized by productive dialogues on global challenges. He underscored India’s commitment to advancing global peace, economic prosperity, and sustainable development.

During the G7 Summit, PM Modi participated in the Outreach Session and delivered a speech on ‘Energy Security: diversification, technology, and infrastructure’. His focus was on guaranteeing accessible and affordable energy in a shifting global context.
