In a powerful address at the Commonwealth Summit of Heads of Government (CSPOC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s transformative role on the world stage. From revolutionizing digital payments with UPI to spearheading vaccine diplomacy during the pandemic, Modi emphasized how India has emerged as a reliable global partner.

The summit, attended by leaders from across the Commonwealth nations, provided Modi the perfect platform to showcase India’s achievements. He detailed how UPI has become a model for seamless digital transactions, now expanding beyond borders into countries like Singapore and the UAE. ‘UPI is not just a payment system; it’s a symbol of India’s innovative spirit,’ Modi declared.

Modi also reflected on India’s vaccine efforts, where it supplied over 200 million doses to more than 100 countries under the Vaccine Maitri initiative. This outreach underscored India’s commitment to global health security, earning it accolades as the ‘pharmacy of the world.’

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister outlined India’s vision for a self-reliant economy through Atmanirbhar Bharat, which has boosted manufacturing and technology sectors. He urged fellow leaders to collaborate on sustainable development, climate action, and digital inclusion.

The speech resonated strongly, reinforcing India’s position as a bridge between the Global South and developed nations. As the summit progresses, Modi’s words set a tone for deeper Commonwealth ties, promising mutual growth and shared prosperity.
