The presence of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel inside the Rajya Sabha has drawn sharp criticism from opposition members, who view it as an attempt to intimidate and suppress dissent. Renuka Chowdhury of the Congress party, along with MPs from various parties, including CPI(M), DMK, and Shiv Sena (UBT), voiced their concerns. Chowdhury questioned the government’s motives, asking if they were being treated as terrorists or Naxalites. She accused the government of attempting to scare them with the CISF, while failing to address actual threats. She asserted their resolve to stand firm and not be intimidated. She also mentioned the targeting of women, specifically mentioning the actions against her.

Chowdhury criticized the government’s failure to capture the real terrorists, referencing the Pahalgam attack and questioning the legitimacy of those arrested. She warned about the consequences of anger.
