A 19-year-old student from Pune, who was involved in a case related to a social media post criticizing India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, has had her plea to dismiss the case considered by the Bombay High Court. The student posted about the India-Pakistan tensions during Operation Sindoor, leading to an FIR being filed against her. Although she was arrested but was later released on bail granted by the High Court. The student’s lawyer informed the court that she had performed well in her exams after being granted bail. The court responded that academic achievements are not grounds for dismissing the FIR.

The court also noted that the deletion of the post further complicates the matter. The next hearing has been set for two weeks, with instructions for the public prosecutor to present the case diary.
