An encounter between the Noida STF and Baghpat Police in Baghpat’s Kotwali area led to the death of a dacoit. The incident occurred during a joint operation targeting a truck robbery gang. The wanted criminal was injured in the gunfire and later died while receiving treatment at a hospital.

The deceased was identified as Sandeep, son of Satveer, residing in Bhaini Maharajganj, Mahem, Rohtak. He was wanted in a truck robbery case in Kanpur’s Panki police station area involving the theft of nickel plates valued at approximately four crore rupees. Authorities had announced a reward of one lakh rupees for information leading to his arrest.

Sandeep was also implicated in multiple cases of highway robbery and the murder of truck drivers. Evidence suggests he was responsible for the deaths of more than four drivers and the theft of their trucks.

Authorities have registered over 16 cases of highway robbery and murder against him in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana.
