In a major breakthrough, Noida’s Phase-3 police station team has dismantled a notorious theft syndicate responsible for multiple burglaries across the Delhi-NCR region. Acting on precise intelligence from local sources and electronic surveillance, officers swiftly apprehended four key members of the gang late on January 31.
The operation unfolded near Tipinagar Chowk, where a tip-off alerted police to the gang’s presence. A rapid encirclement led to the arrests without resistance. Recovered from their possession were 15 high-end laptops from various brands, four smartphones, and two motorcycles, with an estimated street value exceeding ₹12 lakhs.
Identified as Aamir Khan alias Kalu, Abhishek Kumar, Yogendra Chauhan alias Lanka, and Arjun, the suspects confessed during interrogation to targeting laptops, phones, and bikes in residential and commercial areas. Stolen items were quickly offloaded at throwaway prices, with proceeds split among the group.
Police records reveal prior cases against Aamir Khan and Yogendra Chauhan, including theft charges, NDPS Act violations, and other serious offenses. Abhishek and Arjun also have histories of petty crimes, underscoring the gang’s long-standing operations.
Investigators are now tracing the origins of the motorcycles and linking recoveries to unsolved cases. This bust is expected to crack open several pending theft reports in the area. A case under relevant IPC sections has been registered, with further probes into accomplices underway. Noida police assure residents of heightened vigilance to curb such activities.
