Noida is gearing up for a spectacular four-day flower extravaganza from February 19 to 22 at Shivalik Park near Shilp Haat in Sector 33A. Preparations are in full swing for this vibrant event that promises to transform the city into a floral paradise.
Deputy CEO Vandana Tripathi announced that the show will be inaugurated on February 19. This year’s highlight is a stunning 30-foot-long and 40-foot-high replica of the Kedarnath Temple crafted entirely from flowers. Flanking the temple are floral sculptures of a Trishul, Damru, and Nandi, each standing 8 feet tall and 3 feet wide, capturing the spiritual essence of the holy site.
The grand entrance gate, themed around Kedarnath, measures 22 feet long and 25 feet high, setting the tone for visitors. An innovative 6-foot-tall elephant made from bitter gourd vines adds a quirky touch, sure to draw crowds. Pathways feature 7-foot-high decorated baskets with ‘Top Basket Flow’ and ‘Basket for Pots Flower’ displays, alongside 10-foot-long and 12-foot-high entry gates and gardens.
Visitors can expect a variety of floral replicas including Dholak shapes, Matka flows, Buddha Lotus, and more. Over 90 stalls, including 38 nurseries from Kalimpong and Bhimtal, will showcase seeds, fertilizers, plants, decorative items, farming tools, and pots.
The event features participation from North Railway, New Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Council, Indian Army, Kota House, Bharat Petroleum, LG, Adobe Systems, NIIT, Delhi Public School, Yamuna Expressway Authority, and Greater Noida Authority.
On inauguration day, MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma and MLA Pankaj Singh will cut the ribbon, followed by ITBP band performances. Day two brings special band shows, day three includes garden judging and awards, and the finale on February 22 features a painting competition for school kids and a poetry recital with renowned poets like Dr. Vishnu Saxena, Dr. Arjun Shishodia, Anil Agwanvi, Shambhu Shikhar, Kalpana Shukla, and Vinod Pandey.
