In a major milestone for Uttar Pradesh’s aviation ambitions, the Noida International Airport at Jewar has received security waiting clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. This critical approval follows a thorough audit of the airport’s security protocols, including surveillance systems, access controls, and passenger screening procedures.

With this green light, the path is now clear for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to issue the much-awaited aerodrome license. Once granted, commercial flight operations can commence, marking the operational debut of what promises to be one of India’s largest aviation hubs.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh highlighted that the clearance confirms the airport’s readiness to meet stringent safety standards essential for air travel. The Bureau’s inspection team rigorously evaluated every aspect of security infrastructure before granting approval.

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the Jewar project has been fast-tracked as a cornerstone of the state’s infrastructure push. Spanning the National Capital Region, it will serve as a vital gateway for western Uttar Pradesh, boosting investment, tourism, logistics, and job creation.

The airport is being developed in phases, with full capacity eventually handling millions of passengers annually. This development positions Uttar Pradesh firmly on the global aviation map, driving economic growth and connectivity across Asia.
