Lucknow, February 24: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister OP Rajbhar launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, highlighting the remarkable peace in the state under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership. For the past nine years, not a single riot has disrupted the harmony of Uttar Pradesh, a stark contrast to previous regimes.

Rajbhar emphasized that Chief Minister Yogi’s iron-fisted approach to law and order has ushered in an era of stability and rapid development. Metro projects are expanding, expressways are being constructed at breakneck speed, and investments are pouring in. This transformation has left Akhilesh Yadav anxious about his political future, as voters witness tangible progress.

In an exclusive conversation, the minister predicted that in the upcoming assembly elections, Akhilesh’s support base would shrink dramatically. Even his core Muslim voters might abandon him, leaving only caste loyalists behind. Rajbhar pointed out that under PM Modi and CM Yogi, backward and Dalit communities are being empowered like never before, which irks the SP leader.

Responding to Akhilesh’s criticism of the treatment meted out to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Rajbhar reminded him of the 1990s when SP workers mistreated the swami during their rule. ‘Akhilesh should revisit history,’ he quipped, accusing the SP of hypocrisy.

Akhilesh had claimed that police prevented the Shankaracharya from bathing and insulted him under a ‘Bhagwa-clad’ CM, alleging BJP’s pattern of silencing dissenters with false charges. Rajbhar dismissed these as desperate tactics from a fading opposition, underscoring UP’s shift towards peace and prosperity.
