Patna, March 5: Bihar’s Minor Water Resources Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha national president Santosh Kumar Suman extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on his nomination as JD(U) candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections and filing his papers.

Suman lauded Nitish Kumar’s unblemished reputation, commitment to good governance, and welfare-oriented mindset that have reshaped Bihar’s political landscape. Under his leadership, groundbreaking initiatives have empowered women and driven all-round development for Dalits and marginalized communities, bringing the most disadvantaged into the mainstream.

‘Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vast political experience, balanced perspective, and dedication to public welfare will steer national policymaking in a fresh direction in the Rajya Sabha,’ Suman asserted. His presence will amplify Bihar’s aspirations and challenges on the national stage with greater vigor.

Minister Suman expressed confidence that Nitish Kumar’s experience, simple public life, and development focus will enhance the Rajya Sabha’s prestige and contribute significantly to the nation’s interests.

Meanwhile, Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahni branded Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha move as part of BJP’s strategy, exposing their true colors. ‘We warned during elections that BJP would never let Nitish remain CM beyond 2025-2030, and reality proves us right,’ Sahni remarked.

The former Bihar minister accused BJP of employing similar tactics across states to eliminate allies. He claimed BJP aims to wipe out JD(U) as a political force, calling the decision a betrayal of the people’s mandate won in Nitish’s name during last year’s assembly polls. Bihar’s voters, he said, will never forgive BJP.
