A special NIA court in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, granted bail to two Catholic nuns from Kerala and a tribal youth who faced charges of human trafficking and forced conversion. The trio was arrested by the GRP at Durg railway station after a Bajrang Dal member accused them of taking three tribal girls to Agra for conversion. The court’s decision has been greeted with relief by supporters, but the broader issue of religious freedom continues to be debated.
