Newshounds protest in Manipur over ‘harrasment’ of editor via NIA

IMPHAL: Newshounds protested in Imphal on Thursday via ceasing their paintings, alleging that senior editor W Shyamjai used to be confused via the Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA).

Individuals of All Manipur Running Newshounds Union (AMWJU), Editors Guild Manipur (EGM) and Manipur Hill Newshounds Union (MHJU) staged a sit-in protest within the Keisampat house from 10 am to 4 pm.

Shyamjai, the editor-in-chief of night day-to-day Kangleipakki Meira, used to be summoned via the NIA to its place of business on August 2 at 10 am “over alleged involvements of 2 different newshounds assisting the underground teams”, the Indian Newshounds Union (IJU) stated in a commentary.

Shymjai, the president of AMWJU, used to be saved in a small room with out being interacted with until midday and used to be then requested “unrelated” questions referring to underground teams, it stated.

Protesting towards the “harassment”, the clicking organisations submitted a memorandum to Governor L. a. Ganesan and Leader Minister N Biren Singh.
