Newly released CCTV footage provides a chilling, real-time account of the car explosion that rocked Delhi near the Red Fort on Monday evening, November 10. The video clearly shows the Hyundai i20, loaded with explosives, detonating around 6:50 pm on Netaji Subhash Marg, a street teeming with life. The blast tragically killed 12 people and injured many more, sending shockwaves of fear through the capital.

Describing the event as a “heinous terror act,” the government has mandated a top-priority investigation, demanding the highest levels of professionalism and speed. The Union Cabinet, in a resolute declaration, reaffirmed India’s unyielding policy of zero tolerance for terrorism in any form. The cabinet’s directive is clear: perpetrators, their accomplices, and those who sponsored the attack must be identified and brought to justice swiftly.

The investigation is zeroing in on a previously dismantled extremist network in Faridabad, believed to be associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and individuals linked to Al-Falah University. It is suspected that the blast was a desperate measure following successful security actions that may have disrupted a much larger, coordinated terror plot targeting multiple locations across India. A medical professional, Dr. Umar Nabi, associated with Al-Falah Hospital in Faridabad, is reportedly being investigated in connection with driving the explosive-laden vehicle.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially taken over the investigation. Earlier, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met to review the incident, demonstrating the gravity with which the government is treating the Red Fort bombing. The impact of the explosion was immense, causing fatalities, injuries, and igniting surrounding vehicles, underscoring the catastrophic nature of the attack.
