New Delhi: BJP MP and Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra has sharply criticized the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, asserting that the NDA alliance is now stronger than ever. Speaking exclusively to IANS on Thursday, Mishra highlighted the public’s growing frustration with corruption and lawlessness under DMK rule.

The remarks come amid heightened political discourse following the Rouse Avenue Court’s decision to acquit Sajjan Kumar in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. On this sensitive issue, Mishra urged caution. ‘The trial was conducted after a thorough investigation and evidence collection. Now, after all these years, the court has acquitted him. We must wait to see if the investigative agency appeals. Until higher courts rule definitively, it’s premature to comment,’ he stated.

Turning to Tamil Nadu, Mishra praised the inclusion of AMMK in the NDA fold. ‘The alliance we’ve forged in Tamil Nadu is robust and impactful. People are thoroughly exasperated with the DMK government due to rampant corruption. The state resembles a jungle raj. Union Minister Piyush Goyal is spot on—NDA is set to form the next government there,’ he declared confidently.

Mishra didn’t spare the I-PAC controversy either. He labeled it a ‘fraudulent organization’ that prompted ED raids. ‘The company they claimed lent crores doesn’t even exist in Haryana. As investigations progress, more truths will emerge. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee feared exposure and hastily cleared out I-PAC’s office, laptops included,’ he alleged.

On Bangladesh’s potential absence from the upcoming World Cup in India, Mishra raised serious concerns. ‘Hindus are not safe in Bangladesh; the situation there is dire. Bangladesh shouldn’t feel insecure about visiting India. Expecting their citizens to endure such conditions is misguided,’ he added.

Mishra’s statements underscore BJP’s aggressive push in Tamil Nadu ahead of elections, positioning NDA as the antidote to DMK’s alleged misgovernance. With alliances solidifying, the southern state could witness a dramatic shift in power dynamics.
