Nagpur buzzes with political fireworks as Congress leader Nana Patole unleashed a scathing attack on the BJP. Speaking exclusively, Patole revealed that BJP meetings are obsessed with strategies to trap Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.
This comes hot on the heels of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s demand to cancel Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary membership. Patole dismissed it as a desperate ploy to divert attention from real issues plaguing the nation. ‘BJP’s internal discussions revolve around ensnaring Rahul Gandhi, but they won’t succeed,’ he asserted confidently.
Patole highlighted the Gandhi family’s unparalleled sacrifices for India, a fact etched in the nation’s collective memory. He argued that such tactics expose the BJP’s fixation, sidelining pressing concerns like farmer distress and economic woes.
Turning to Union Minister Piyush Goyal and former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s praise for PM Modi’s farmer policies, Patole didn’t hold back. ‘Goyal, a businessman at heart, has no clue about farmers’ struggles. He’s sold them out for corporate gains,’ Patole charged. Chouhan, he added, is merely clinging to his political survival.
On Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind’s stance on ‘Vande Mataram’, Patole defended Indian Muslims’ patriotism. ‘Muslims here honor the nation’s pride. BJP twists issues into Hindu-Muslim divides to dodge accountability,’ he said, accusing the organization of aligning with BJP interests.
Patole affirmed ‘Vande Mataram’ as India’s national song, a symbol of pride that inspires unity. He questioned the government’s guidelines mandating it before the national anthem, calling such moves unnecessary and divisive.
As political tempers flare, Patole’s bold statements signal escalating Congress-BJP rivalry ahead of key battles.
