A tragic fire broke out in a residential building in Mumbai’s Goregaon West area late Saturday night, claiming the lives of three members of the same family. The blaze erupted on the fourth floor of a 12-storey building located on Swami Vivekanand Road. The victims, identified as Rajesh Kumar (45), his wife Sunita (42), and their son Amit (20), were reportedly asleep when the fire started. Initial investigations by the Mumbai Fire Brigade suggest a short circuit in the kitchen wiring as the probable cause. Firefighters arrived at the scene within minutes of the emergency call, but the intensity of the smoke and flames made immediate rescue difficult.
