Indore, Madhya Pradesh: In a significant move to oversee healthcare infrastructure, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla visited a key hospital in Indore today. The unannounced inspection highlights the state government’s commitment to improving medical facilities amid rising public expectations.

During his tour, Shukla meticulously examined various departments including emergency services, ICU units, and outpatient wards. He interacted with medical staff, patients, and their families, listening to their grievances and suggestions. Sources indicate that the visit was prompted by recent complaints regarding service delays and resource shortages.

Shukla directed hospital authorities to expedite the resolution of longstanding issues such as staff shortages, equipment upgrades, and hygiene standards. ‘Healthcare is our top priority. No compromise will be tolerated,’ he asserted while addressing the gathered personnel.

The Deputy CM also reviewed ongoing expansion projects at the facility, emphasizing the need for timely completion to accommodate the growing patient influx. He assured additional funding from the state exchequer to modernize the hospital.

This visit comes at a crucial juncture as Madhya Pradesh ramps up its health sector reforms ahead of upcoming elections. Shukla’s proactive approach is being seen as a strategic effort to bolster public confidence in government initiatives.

Local health officials welcomed the inspection, terming it a ‘wake-up call’ for better performance. Residents of Indore expressed hope that tangible improvements will follow, easing the burden on the city’s overburdened healthcare system.

As Shukla concluded his visit, he reiterated the government’s vision of accessible and quality healthcare for every citizen, setting the tone for more such oversight visits across the state.
