Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, at the TV9 Bharatvarsh’s Satta Sammelan, announced the expansion of the Ladli Behna Yojana, with plans to disburse ₹3000 monthly to women by 2028. He addressed previous criticisms from the Congress party, who had questioned the scheme’s intentions, and outlined the phased increase in payments. He mentioned that the payments have been increased from ₹1000 to ₹1250 and ₹1500, with further increases planned. Yadav underscored the government’s dedication to empowering women and contrasted it with the alleged financial failures of the Congress government. He discussed initiatives for women’s employment, including opportunities in the ready-made garments sector, and government contributions. The Chief Minister referenced a study highlighting the scheme’s positive influence on children’s well-being, education, and home environments. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support and mentioned a review of the scheme to add new beneficiaries, in addition to creating self-help groups for women to achieve financial independence.
