Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch a series of significant development projects in Bihar and West Bengal. In Bihar, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects valued at over Rs 7,200 crore in Motihari. These projects span across various sectors, including Software Technology Parks, new Amrit Bharat trains, and road infrastructure. In West Bengal, projects worth more than Rs 5,000 crore will be initiated in Durgapur, focusing on sectors like oil and gas, power, railways, and roads. The railway projects include improvements to the Samastipur-Bachhwara rail line, the Darbhanga-Thalwara and Samastipur-Rambhadrapur rail line doubling, and infrastructure development for Vande Bharat trains. Road infrastructure will be enhanced with the four-laning of the Ara bypass and the Parariya to Mohania section of NH-319. The IT sector will receive support through the inauguration of new STPI facilities in Darbhanga and Patna. Furthermore, a range of fisheries development projects under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) will be launched in Bihar. The Prime Minister will also flag off four new Amrit Bharat trains and distribute funds to Self-Help Groups and beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin. West Bengal will witness the commencement of projects such as the BPCL City Gas Distribution project in Bankura and Purulia, the Durgapur to Kolkata natural gas pipeline, and the Retrofitting Pollution Control System for thermal power stations. The Purulia – Kotshila Rail Line will be doubled, and road over bridges will be inaugurated under the Setu Bharatam Programme.
