The ongoing investigation into the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case has uncovered new leads, with an audio recording suggesting a broader conspiracy. The audio, accessed by News24, features an eyewitness speaking with Vipin Raghuvanshi, the brother of Raja. The witness claimed that two individuals, beyond Raj Kushwaha, were involved in transporting Sonam from Varanasi to Ghazipur. The eyewitness reported observing Sonam drinking mango juice at the Varanasi bus stand. She was accompanied by two young men at the bus stand approximately two hours prior to her surrender in Ghazipur. These two individuals reportedly assisted Sonam in boarding a bus from Varanasi to Gorakhpur around 11:30 pm. Vipin Raghuvanshi received a call from a Saidpur, Ghazipur resident, who informed him about Sonam’s location. Uttar Pradesh authorities confirmed the arrest of Sonam Raghuvanshi, 24, near a dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road. According to ADG Law and Order, Uttar Pradesh, Amitabh Yash, Sonam received initial medical care at Sadar Hospital before being moved to Sakhi One Stop Centre. The case involves Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife, Sonam, residents of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, who disappeared during their Meghalaya honeymoon. Raja’s body was later found in a gorge near Cherrapunji on June 2. The couple married on May 11 and began their honeymoon on May 20, with their last known sighting on May 23.
