Rewari Police have arrested a woman and a broker involved in a marriage fraud. The incident involved Jaldeep, a resident of Rewari. Jaldeep reported that he was introduced to the broker Sohal, who connected him with a woman named Pooja from Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar district. Jaldeep paid 2 lakh rupees and brought her to his village. The woman subsequently fled with jewelry and cash. The investigation exposed that ‘Pooja’ was actually Kaushalya, a married woman with four children. The person presented as her brother, Rahul, was her boyfriend, Rakesh. Kaushalya also hired individuals to pose as parents for a fee. It was found that she had a prior arrest in Rajasthan in 2024. The accused are now in a 2-day police remand.
