Maratha quota: Finish speedy, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar tells Rajya Sabha MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Deputy Leader Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday requested Rajya Sabha MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje to finish his speedy searching for quota in jobs and training for the Maratha group.

Pawar advised journalists the MVA govt within the state will do all it could to verify the welfare of the Maratha group.

The Rajya Sabha MP is on a starvation strike since Saturday and has accused the state govt of failing to meet assurances given to the Maratha group and the Centre of now not putting off the 50 according to cent cap on quota.

On Saturday night, Leader Minister Uddhav Thackeray chaired a gathering of the cupboard sub committee on Maratha quota and directed that the state OBC fee be arrange instantly to review the backwardness of the group.

The CM additionally requested the cupboard sub committee to verify implementation of quite a lot of welfare schemes for the group.
