‘I pay my humble tribute to the revered Bapu on his punyatithi. His teachings and ideals will continue to guide humanity,’ the post read. Sinha also honored the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom, unity, and integrity on this Martyrs’ Day.
This gesture comes amid a wave of tributes from across the political spectrum. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first to remember Gandhi earlier in the day, setting the tone for nationwide remembrance.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized Gandhi’s unwavering commitment to truth and compassion. ‘Bapu’s life of integrity, dedication to non-violence, and boundless empathy will forever illuminate the world. Let us internalize his ideals to build a prosperous, just, and developed India,’ he stated.
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav hailed Gandhi as an exemplar of public welfare. ‘Your message of truth, non-violence, and unity showed the path to serving humanity. Your life is a timeless chapter in pursuit of the greater good,’ Yadav posted.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami described Gandhi’s life as an ‘immortal message of sacrifice, penance, and national service,’ inspiring generations to pursue justice, harmony, and peace.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also joined in, with Banerjee underscoring Gandhi’s vision of a united, inclusive India as the soul of the nation’s democracy.
