A disturbing incident has unfolded in Tamil Nadu, where a 60-year-old man, K Kolanji, has been accused of a double murder. The crime involved the beheading of his second wife and her alleged lover in Kallakurichi district. Following the killings, Kolanji transported the victims’ severed heads to Vellore central prison and surrendered to the police. The victims were identified as 40-year-old K Lakhmi and 50-year-old K Thanjarasu. The discovery of the headless bodies on the terrace of Kolanji’s apartment prompted neighbors to alert the police. A police team, including DSP S Thangavel, arrived at the scene to investigate, with the assistance of a sniffer dog. The bodies were later sent for postmortem analysis. Kolanji is currently in police custody and faces charges related to the murders. He confessed to the crime, stating it was due to the couple’s continued relationship. The weapon used in the killings has been seized.
