New Delhi buzzed with sharp political rhetoric as BJP MP Mamata Mohanta launched a pointed critique against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the party’s legacy. Speaking exclusively to reporters, Mohanta highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering commitment to national progress, contrasting it starkly with what she described as Congress’s penchant for mere posturing.

Under PM Modi’s leadership, Mohanta asserted, development schemes are reaching every corner of India, transcending state boundaries and political affiliations. Even regions without BJP governments are benefiting from central initiatives aimed at holistic growth. She reminisced about the Congress era, labeling it a decade of stagnation where promises overshadowed actual achievements.

‘Congress loves the drama of public displays, pretending to champion the common man,’ Mohanta remarked. ‘But their vision was hollow. In power, they delivered nothing substantial.’ She praised the last 11-12 years of BJP governance, where infrastructure booms, women’s empowerment programs flourish, and the ambitious vision of a Developed India by 2047 takes shape.

Turning her focus to Rahul Gandhi, Mohanta accused him of shunning genuine public engagement during visits to states like Assam. ‘He meets only party workers, opposes every central policy, and contributes zero to development,’ she said. This pattern, she argued, underscores Congress’s opposition-for-opposition’s-sake approach.

Mohanta expressed gratitude for President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the joint session of Parliament, which she said eloquently outlined the government’s roadmap for economic prosperity, social justice, and inclusive growth. On a somber note, she condoled the untimely demise of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, calling allegations of conspiracy baseless. ‘It was a tragic accident. Investigations will reveal the truth, but let’s not politicize grief,’ she urged, praying for strength to his family.
